ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION

(1) I have completed my NAC in a Company and appeared for the NAC Examination. However, my results have not yet been announced, am I eligible to apply.

       The candidates should have completed their NAC and are required to enter their marks in the Application Form, hence you are not eligible to apply
.


(2) I have completed NTC in Fitter Trade, and undergone NAC in Boiler Attendant Trade. Am I eligible to apply for the Post of Fitter against this advertisement?

       For the post of Fitters - only the candidates who have completed NTC and NAC in Fitter or Sheet Metal Worker Trade alone would be considered. The Candidate has to complete apprenticeship training in the same trade in which he/she has completed ITI.

(3) Are the candidates who have done NTC/NAC in Mill Wright Mechanic Trade eligible to apply against for the Post of Fitters?

       We regret that for the post of Fitters - candidates who have done NTC/NAC in Trades other than Fitters & Sheet Metal Worker, viz., Tool & Die Makers, Mill Wright Mechanic, Fitter (Structurals) Boiler Attendant, etc. will not be considered.

(4) I will be completing my Apprenticeship with my present employer during April 2012. Will my candidature be considered?

       Candidates who have completed their Apprenticeship Training and are in possession of the NAC Certificate / Mark sheets only will be considered for this selection.


(5) I am an Ex-serviceman and I have completed my diploma in Mechanical Transport Fitter. Am I eligible to apply for the post of Fitter?

       We regret that for the post of Fitter - Mechanical Transport Fitter cannot be considered as equivalent..

(6) I am an Ex-serviceman and I am possessing equivalent qualification for the Post of Fitter. However, I have not been provided with percentage of marks. Am I eligible to apply?

       Yes

AGE CRITERION

Top

(1) I am meeting all requirements with respect to NTC/NAC Qualifications and belong to the General Category. I am 27 years and 5 days old .on 1st April 2012. Am I eligible to apply?

       The upper age limit is prescribed as on 1st April 2012 and no deviation is allowed hence you are not eligible.


(2)I have completed NTC/NAC in the Trade as per the Advertisement and fulfil all eligible criteria. I have served in a Private Company for a period of 4 years. Is there any relaxation for me in the upper age limit?

       Upper age limit is further relaxable upto 84 months to candidates possessing working experience (other than Apprenticeship Training) in a Company dealing with manufacturing Boiler components of not less than 100 MW capacity. This age relaxation of a maximum of 84 months will be applicable to candidates having aforesaid experience of 50 months of continuous or intermittent service. Those with lesser months of experience will be entitled for age relaxation on pro rata basis. Such candidates will have to compete with other eligible candidates in Written Test / Interview etc.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

(1) I had submitted my application and sent the Acknowledgement Slip along with challan (BHEL copy for having paid the fee), category and J&K domicile certificates by registered post. But I have not received any acknowledgement from your end. I would like to know whether my Acknowledgement Slip has reached your Office?

       You may enter your Acknowledgement No. and Date of Birth in the login section of our Home Page on this site and you can get information about your application, Written Test, etc.


(2)Can I send Demand Draft instead of Power jyoti payment along with the Acknowledgement Slip?

       Only payments through Power Jyoti account of State Bank of India is acceptable. No other form of payment is acceptable.


(3) Should I enclose any self-addressed/stamped envelope along with the Acknowledgement Slip?

       You need not enclose any self-addressed/stamped envelope along with the Acknowledgement Slip as you have to download your written test Permission Slip and other documents from this Site.


DOCUMENTS & CERTIFICATES

(1) I meet all specifications for applying for the post of Artisan and I belong to the SC category. But there is no number on my Community Certificate. What should I do?

       You may enter the date of the Certificate and the Designation of the Signatory in the online application form and leave the number columns blank. Similarly, if any other column is not applicable to you please leave it blank.


(2) The Original Caste/Community Certificate issued to me has been lost. But I possess an attested Xerox copy of the same. Can I send the copy?

       You may send the copy of the attested xerox copy of the caste/community certificate and you will be 'provisionally' considered. However, you should be in a position to produce all your Certificates in Original at the time of Interview, if shortlisted for the same. Otherwise you will be disqualified at that stage.


(3) I am working in a Govt/Public Sector Company. Should I enclose NOC from my employer at the time of applying for the written test?

       Candidates presently employed in Central/State Govt departments, PSUs, Autonomous bodies should submit the NOC at the time of Interview, in case you qualify upto this stage.

WRITTEN TEST

Top

(1)Will any Travelling Allowance be paid to me for attending the Written Test / Interview?

       No Travelling Allowance is payable to the candidates for attending the Written Test. You will have to attend the Written test at your own expense.
       Candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed second sleeper train fare as per rules. However, at the time of Interview if it is found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, He/She will neither be allowed for the Interview nor paid any Travelling Allowance.
